Though it might be useful to have an introduction thread. I will start.
I'm a lifelong Aussie Rules Fan in my 50's who lives a few clicks from Spotless. I have become a dedicated Giants Supporter.
Background is Glenelg in the SANFL ( go Bays) ànd have previously been a Hawks interstate member.
I attend Spotless pretty much religiously. My current ID on BF is Wampeter, Previously Bokonon.

Hi All. General Giant on BF.
A 40 year old ex Heartland Rugby League fan
Started following the Giants when they joined as "a club to keep an eye on in the game" as I was a lifelong Balmain (Wests) Tigers fan.
Grew up in Penrith though now in Mudgee so hard to get to a game often (though will always be a member).
Wasn't expecting to end up being a member and caring so much for the club. My daughter was a member the moment she was born as was my wife once we were married (she hated the game until I took her to Spotless)
Its been a hell of a ride so far and am looking forward to the future.

Never really followed AFL til the arrival of the Giants. Now a massive fan I think aging and geographically challenged Aussie rules fans like me are a large part of the initial supporter base. I was a no brainer I would support a local club. People like you are the future of the club though, and it needs many more like you. |
