So, how do we look back at the Tom Boyd trade? We receieved Griffen and pick 6 for him a few years back. With pick 6 we drafted Marchbank whose now at Carlton. Its fair to say Boyd had been a fairly crappy player at the doggies until his monster grand final. Does this mean he's going to be a gun fwd from now on?

I'd say yes if we managed to keep Marchbank. Losing him and the Dogs winning a flag first with Boyd means we lost it unfortunately.

I dont think we won it in footy talent terms. With Marchbanks value decreased and Griffin best 22 but not starring and with a questionable future. When the playing group asked for him to be traded it indicated some issues deeper than just him wanting to go to me though. It may be we lost the trade but are better off without him.

^^ lost the trade but it doesn't really matter considering we have Patton and Jezza. May have not worked with Boyd there
